On my mission to live a greener more sustainable life, I have found 5 awesome ways to reduce the amount of paper that comes into our home and leave via the bins and reduce our paper wastage. 1. Go-paperless when it comes to bills, many if not every utility company offers a paperless option so you can view your bills online so that they don't have to waste paper sending you hard copies of your bills that we only throw out a few days anyway. 2. Like with bills all our news can be read online rather than having to wait to have one delivered to our door. Hubby and I get our new fix from online rather than going out to bu a newspaper. We rarely ever buy newspapers and when we do we use it to line the cat tray rather than buying plastic tray liners to throw away. 3. Shred your paper and get crafty, I store all our unwanted paper in some bags and plan to make some paper mache masks with it for some wall decor. This is also a great activity for kids to get involved in. 4. Use paper to make unique origami or decorations for Christmas or Easter. I like to make those origami lucky stars and thread them onto a string. If you don't like whats on the paper you can always spray paint them before threading them. They are so easy to make, even the kids will love making these. 5. Make your own wrapping paper with newspaper. For a really unique look opt to wrap your presents in a few layers of newspaper, add a big red bow or some ribbon and you have a beautifully wrapped gift or if you want to save on envelopes you can also make your own super easy.
Whats your tips to help reduce paper wastage?
