Week 35 - Vegan for a month

Yes this is it, I am going vegan, I am hereby challenging myself to be a vegan for a month. I have been eating so many vegan, vegetarian meals and very little meat that I was almost there with the exception of a few a piece of chicken and a cheese pizza that I had last month. I have always wanted to see if being vegan was for me and have had so many people ask me if I was going vegan.

I woke up this morning and thought why don't I go vegan, its something I want to try so why not, what stopping me. Being vegan could really be for me. So as of January I will be going vegan for a month and keeping track of my foods etc as I did in the beginning of my 52 weeks challenge so you guys can see my progress and thoughts.

Growing up meat has always been a part of my diet, home cooked meals, weekend barbecues, parties etc, so sure there will be cravings and sure there will be times that I get pissy cause someone is bragging about how amazing their burger tastes but all in all I believe that If I can stick with this it will be all the better for me and the environment.

Who knows I may really like being vegan and really stick with it longer than a month. Why are you not starting right now, you ask? Put simply because a major life change like this requires research before jumping head first. I need to know what supplements I will need to have in order to replace the things that I will no longer be getting from the foods that I plan to yank from my diet.

The last thing I want to do is suffer from some serious nutrient deficiency when trying to eat better and live a healthier life. Also it gives me time to hunt out some delicious recipes to make since I plan on making a lot of my own scrumptious noms while being vegan.
