Week 5 - Health diary

Only 47 weeks to go, I have to say I am really enjoying this eating healthy, I do feel more awake and refreshed in the mornings than I used to.

I have been using a lot of my own homegrown herbs in my food and I am planning a reorganization of the kitchen in order to fit more shelving and storage for plants as I would like to grow more in my kitchen than I already do now. I have the issue of space due to the windows being the only real place to house my plants and also a favorite spot for our cats to chill in the sun.

I have been drinking a lot of bottled water recently and feel so hydrated, for those of you who are like why buy water? Well I don't trust the pipes in my place for drinking water. The kitchen taps are rusted closed beyond repair so I prefer bottled mineral water.

I prefer mineral water over flavored as I don't like the added sugar in my water, water doesn't need to be sweet and fruity, its water! Speaking of sugars I have had little to no break outs since I have been making changes to my diet, cutting back on sugars and fats. I would like to find and alternative to the sweetness sugar provides though as I like a little sweetness in my tea, I may try honey.

I did treat myself to a very sweet slice of watermelon cake this week when hubby and I went out to a coffee shop to grab a bite but the smoothie I ordered with it wasn't to great and left me feeling a bit iffy in the tummy that day.

Break: Go Ahead fab forest fruit slices

Lunch: Snowdonia Cheese co. Red Devil cheese w/ multigrain crackers

Dinner: Chicken salad wraps

Snacks: Half a pineapple

Drinks: 3x coffee 1x 50cl Volvic mineral water

THU

Break: Toast

Lunch: Grilled fish & peas

Dinner: Steamed peas & Brussel sprouts

Snacks: -

Drinks: 4x coffee 1x 50cl Volvic mineral water

FRI

Break: Go Ahead fab forest fruits yogurt breaks

Lunch: Snowdonia Cheese co. Red Devil cheese w/ cheese crackers

Dinner: Grilled fish & rice

Snacks: -

Drinks: 2x tea 3x coffee 1x 50cl Volvic mineral water

SAT

Break: Go Ahead fab forest fruits yogurt breaks

Lunch: Vegetable spring rolls

Dinner: Spicy rice & vegetables

Snacks: -

Drinks: 2x coffee 2x 50cl Volvic mineral water

Lunch: Steamed peas & Brussels sprouts

Dinner: Tesco's canned vegetable curry w/ rice
